“Ferocious pursuit and unwavering compassion are dual facts of the tremendous Lover who knows not only what hurts us but also how to heal us.”

This is from a book that I have been reading by Brennan Manning.  Coming across this line it really stirred my heart. Easter is coming up soon and I figured I would write this.

Yea, there are gonna be times where life will get us down. We are gonna get angry, we are gonna hurt at times. I can remember times in asking God where He was at in my personal life many times.

Bad things will happen just because that’s life, it will rain on the just and unjust. Gods promise isn’t that bad things will happen, but that there will be healing. This very thing is written throughout the scriptures. Paul testifies about the promise in his own life as well as the world. The book of Revelation and all its beautiful liturgy (there is more praise and worship in this book than any other book except the Psalms) is written for the same reason, that there is coming a day in which Gods redemption will manifest itself in such a way that all will know He is Lord and all wrongs, all hurts, they will be made right. Jesus Christ Himself is the first fruit of what God is going to do throughout ALL creation. We yearn for it as well as the rest of creation.  This is one of the very reason why we celebrate Easter 🙂

We are getting our loved ones back.

Our tears will be wiped away forever.

Sickness and disease will be no more

Our struggles will be eternally broken and freedom will reign in Love.

Blessings

John
